«Ornallaia», Zürich
The “Ornellaia experience” includes a proud wine list. It includes all the bestsellers that the Bindella family imports to Switzerland, even the “Super Tuscan” Ornellaia. The ristorante on Bahnhofstrasse, including the garden bar, is open seven days a week. When the weather is fine, you can eat outside under the trees, even in the afternoon. Two brothers - one restaurant
Ristorante Ornellaia on Zurich's Bahnhofstrasse remains a first-class address. The Fratelli Bordone run the elegant restaurant for the Bindella family (design: Tilla Theus). They are not quite as ambitious as their predecessor Antonio Colaianni. But what they serve is of high quality - and has that special Italian charm. Host Antonio Bordone is a true “Bindellian” (17 years of service), and he has brought his brother Gino along for the delicate mission in the “Ornellaia”.

Zuppa di pesce classico. Braised beef ravioli. Risotto with fava beans and peas. “Misti di crostacei” (scallops, giant prawns, lobster). Or a bit of kitchen nostalgia: Filetto di manzo “Rossini”, with hearty roast duck liver and a load of black truffle. The wine to go with it: Ornellaia, what else?
