For dinner, you don't just enter the restaurant, but are met by hostess Yoshiko in the lobby and then led into the converted former Suite 100 of the Dolder Grand Hotel - as if you were entering a mysterious hidden world.

The magic of dinner

And this is also the magic of the dinner at the Japanese counter, behind which Atsushi Hiraoka prepares around 15 wonderful small dishes in Zen-Buddhist tranquillity. Only some of them are top-quality sushi, but there is also a sashimi course with Swiss salmon, bluefin tuna, purple Italian prawns or Danish kingfish. Above all, however, chef Atsushi-San adds many composed, mostly warm courses to his menu: Tamagoyaki omelette with truffle, Wagyu shabu-shabu or silken tofu with shrimp, sancho and dashi. With dishes full of subtlety and harmonious balance, Atsushi Hiraoka is an enrichment for Zurich's gastronomy.
