The name refers to the year in which the Mandarin Oriental Savoy luxury hotel on Paradeplatz was founded. Fancy a few more numbers? The formidable view from up here is a sensational 360 degrees; discover Vrenelisgärtli or the nearby Grossmünster. As there are only 50 seats, which are “fiercely contested” when the sun is shining, reservations are strongly recommended.
What to drink?
There are 15 cocktails and mocktails on the menu; according to bar manager Georgios Xanthoulis, they are already in high demand from 12 noon. And to go with it? You can choose from 11 Asian-inspired snacks, including Thai mackerel ceviche, Vietnamese spring rolls or spicy KFC, i.e. Korean fried chicken with chili sauce. Plenty of reasons to visit the restaurant on the 7th floor soon.
