Co Chin Chin Brasserie, Zürich
From "Ga Roti" to "Banh Canh Xao": For those who want to enjoy Vietnamese specialties of the highest quality in Zurich, this is the place to be.
Indochina 160 years ago
The name of the brasserie is no coincidence: "Co Chin Chin" was the French name for South Vietnam, which was part of French Indochina during the French colonial period in the 19th century. The influences of French cuisine can still be felt in southern Vietnam today – and make the menu at the "Co Chin Chin Brasserie" in Zurich unique: The starter is "Banh Xeo", a rice crêpe with meat and vegetables, followed by "Chin Chin", a green lettuce salad with ginger chicken, cashew nuts and an olive oil dressing. The crowning glory is "Che Dau": sticky rice with beans, coconut milk and peanuts.
Seefeld today
Only the best of both worlds is served, which has been the case for almost 10 years. In November 2016, the restaurant "Co Chin Chin Cuisine" opened in Zurich’s trendy 5th district. Only a few years later and a few meters further up the street, the bistro opened, which moved to the city’s Seefeld neighborhood last September and was given a new name as a brasserie. And it’s a brasserie bursting with authenticity: The chefs, all of whom are Vietnamese, provide daring culinary delights in home-cooking style. And the best thing: Hot food is served from 11 a.m. all the way through to 10 p.m.
