Less is more
Bruno, Mark, Felix, Manuela and Tobias – five farmers from the canton of Zurich – have joined forces to work towards both lower costs and greater sustainability at the same time. Their first solution: fruit and vegetables are often rejected in the wholesale trade because they are too small, for example. It’s yet another instance of waste that costs money – and which is easily avoided. The "NatuRegio" partner companies also aspire to reduce their costs by foregoing the higher margins of retail with sustainability labels. The end goal is pesticide-free, animal-friendly and climate-friendly farming that offers products of first-rate quality.
Pick it up in the "Holabox"
Crunchy bread, tasty cheese, fresh vegetables and eggs – customers can find everything they want for their daily needs in the practical "Holaboxes" available from the "NatuRegio" partners. Delicious pasta, meat and preserves are also offered. All the products originate from the local region and a maximum 50 km from their point of sale.
